Joachim Koester Tarantism is a contemporary re-enactment of the tarantella dance. The film, shot in black and white on 16 mm film in a studio in Brussels, examines the time when after being bitten by a poisonous tarantula spider, one tries to rid oneself of emotional or physical tension.
